About

CAPT Mike Majewski, a native of Toledo, Ohio, enlisted in the Navy as an Electrician’s Mate in 1991. Following the nuclear training pipeline, he received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy and graduated in 1996 with a degree in Systems Engineering. He later earned a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and upon completion of the Joint Advanced Warfighter School he was awarded a master’s degree in Campaign Strategy and Planning from the National Defense University.

CAPT Majewski is married to Tracey (Shade) Majewski of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. They have three daughters, Taylor, Katie, and Hannah.

Sea Tours

His sea tours included serving as Division Officer and Quality Assurance Officer in USS TUCSON (SSN 770), Combat Systems Officer and Quality Assurance Officer in USS NEWPORT NEWS (SSN 750), and Executive Officer in USS CHEYENNE (SSN 773). He commanded USS TOLEDO (SSN 769), leading a team that conducted an extended seven-month deployment to the Indian Ocean and FIFTH FLEET Area of Responsibility.

Shore Tours

His shore assignments include serving as the Assistant Professor of Naval Science at the Pennsylvania State University; as Senior Weapons Evaluator on the COMSUBLANT Tactical Readiness Evaluation (TRE) Team; as the Navy Special Projects Officer for Joint Chiefs of Staff, Director of Intelligence (J2); and as the Deputy Commander for Training for Submarine Squadron SEVEN in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Additionally, he served as the Deputy Director for Nuclear Propulsion Programs for the Chief of Naval Personnel (OPNAV N133) where he was directly responsible for the pay and personnel policies of over 21,000 Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program personnel in the Surface, Submarine, Aviation and Engineering communities. CAPT Majewski most recently served as the Commander, Submarine Squadron SEVEN in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where he was directly responsible for manning, training, and equipping nine submarines in support of the highest levels of combat readiness and deployed operations.

Awards

His personal awards include the Legion of Merit (three awards), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards). He is proud to have been a part of teams awarded the Navy Unit Commendation and multiple Meritorious Unit Commendations and Battle Efficiency “E”.
