About

Lieutenant Roller is a native of Hartland, Wisconsin and graduated from Ashland University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He received his commission through Officer Candidate School as a Surface Warfare Officer.

Career

Lieutenant Roller spent his first Division Officer tour onboard USS Sampson (DDG 102) homeported in Everett, Washington. Serving as Auxiliaries Officer from January 2017 – February 2019 he successfully completed a seven-month deployment in the 5th and 7th Fleet AORs and earned his Surface Warfare Qualification.

His Second Division Officer Tour was onboard USS Sentry (MCM 3), forward deployed Manama, Bahrain as the Damage Control Assistant and Assistant Chief Engineer. While on Sentry, LT Roller participated in over a dozen International Exercises and the Operation Allies Refuge.

Awards

LT Roller has earned the milestone qualifications of Engineering Officer of the Watch and Tactical Action Officer- Evaluator.

LT Roller is also the instructor for NAVSC 401Naval Operations and Seamanship
